The Power of Philanthropy
Through the support of generous donors, the International Mesothelioma Program (IMP) is giving new hope to patients with mesothelioma.
Donations have enabled us to sustain our comprehensive model of excellent clinical care, cutting-edge research, and compassionate support services. Donor support helps us further our essential work, which in turn helps extend and improve the length and quality of life for mesothelioma patients. Today, these patients are living longer, more active lives.
Mesothelioma is a rare disease. Because federal grants are more often given for research that is likely to benefit large numbers of patient, philanthropic support for research has been critically important to us. Whether gifts are large or small, whether they are from a patient’s children or a multinational corporation, private contributions directly affect our work and the care and support we are able to give to our patients.
Donors come in all shapes and sizes. A number are corporations, including law firms who represent patients with mesothelioma. Most donors, however, are individuals, who give in support of a family member or friend with mesothelioma.
