Frequently Asked Questions
What will be my role in my patient’s treatment?
As part of the evaluation process for a new patient, we establish communication with the patient’s primary care physician and oncologist. We keep local doctors informed throughout the evaluation period and discuss our findings. We combine our findings with local doctors’ knowledge of the patient and, using all this information, we work together to develop a treatment program.

Will adjuvant therapies be provided locally – which are done in Boston and which can be done locally?
We know that patients will be most comfortable at home, so our goal is to enable them to receive as much of their care as possible – such as radiation therapy and chemotherapy, as well as routine testing – close to home.
Do I have access to pathology reports, clinic notes, etc. from Boston?
Yes. We fax or electronically send evaluation and clinic notes after each patient visit.
